13th January 2007 Windsurfing: Blithfield Wind Direction: SW Wind Stength: F4-6 Surf / Sea State: Choppy Air Temperature: 10 Sea Temperature: Cold Weather: Cloudy Max Speed: Distance Covered: Little wind on arrival so rigged 6.7, although it was forecast to be quite windy later. Wind was indeed building and had a few good runs. 6.7 felt so different to the 4.0 I was using on Thursday - I went over the front a couple of times thinking I could throw the 6.7 around. Techno soon became too much of a handful as the wind and chop increased so went in to change down. Tried the 5.3 with the Max 2 Air, which was about right. Missed what appeared to be the best wind whilst re-rigging. Very gusty so off the plane some of the time and just powered at others. Made a few fast gybes but need to work on them as success was erratic. The wind came back hard again and last few runs were excellent. Had to pack up as it was getting dark. Theyr.tv was right again with the forecast. |
